High performers don’t burn out because they’re weak.
They burn out because they’re stuck in a cycle of pressure without recovery.
That’s why you don’t need more discipline, you need more play.
For 2026, we are using the PLAYWORKS approach to integrate movement, creativity, and embodied learning into personal and professional growth.
Because breakthroughs don’t happen under constant tension. They happen when your body and mind reconnect.
When you play, you:
• Reduce mental noise
• Access deeper focus
• Break old patterns
• Learn faster
• Strengthen confidence and clarity
• Reignite purpose
This isn’t fluff, it’s neuroscience.
Your best ideas, your boldest actions, and your clearest decisions come when you’re out of fight-or-flight and back in flow.
If you want 2026 to feel different, your approach has to be different.
🔥 PLAYWORKS 2026 is our full-day immersive experience designed to reset your mindset, activate your creativity, and end with a transformational firewalk.

Time, Space and Self
I took a look in the mirror at the bald, bespectacled, chubby, man whose mustache was far more gray than black. A few years ago, I had left the corporate world, taking odd positions now and again to continue earning.

I had shared an amazing life with Crosby, my Great Pyrenees, and experienced the loss of that shared life ending suddenly, unexpectedly and far too soon.
I was happier, but I was still not happy and, in that moment, I made a decision to quit dipping my toe into the water.
2024 was the year that I stopped starting over and began to move down my path, making my dreams a reality and manifesting the me that I knew I was at my core.
We construct an illusion that we are moving forward, growing and that we are living the life of our choosing.
When in reality, the only thing that is moving forward is time and we are simply marking it as the seconds, minutes and hours pass by each day.
We put in the time commuting, working at a job and then arriving home tired and mentally exhausted.
In some cases we fight to stay up for several hours before going to bed, or we may partake in a vice that numbs that mental anguish from the day we have just experienced.
We do this time and time again with our thoughts focused on the days off we will enjoy.
Of course, on those days there is work to be done at home, errands to run, or any other myriad of things which come up and effectively consume our time.
For months and years you have been pouring out your energy without truly refilling it. Leaving you in a state of being physically tired and mentally exhausted.
Through it all we feel like we are doing the right thing, our brain provides us with positive feedback for the actions we are taking.
So, tomorrow, you will get up and repeat the process.
That is, you will repeat the process unless you take time to reset your internal operating system.
If you’re tired of being tired, it is time for you to push Control-Alt-Delete for the hard reset that you desperately need from a physical and mental perspective.
The H.E.A.R.T. methodology is more than a simple approach that I use; it is the basis for direction and regulation.
What follows is a simplified process that you can use, TODAY, to begin the process of reclaiming your Time, your Space and YOUR SELF.
H – Honor Your Truth
Take a deep breath in, short hold and slow release allowing your body to arrive before your mind answers.
Allow the truth to surface, not the story you’ve been telling yourself, rather your core purpose in life.
Acknowledge what you have been tolerating, postponing or denying. Seek only to see clearly, not to change or fix anything.
Complete the sentence:
“The truth I have been avoiding is…”
E – Envision the Future
Find a quiet, safe, space for visualization. Close your eyes, take a breath and imagine a version of you that moves with clarity, calm and focused on your dream. What does it feel like to be no longer rushed, reactive or drained of energy?
Notice how you hold your body in this future
Notice how you protect your time without guilt
Notice how you choose rest, focus and presence naturally
Complete the sentence:
“What matters to me now is…”
A – Activate Awareness
In your safe space, close your eyes, take a breath and imagine watching yourself from a short distance. See moments when you have been triggered, pressured, or pulled off of your path. Allow awareness to permeate without judgement or reaction.
Notice what is happening just before you react
Feel within your body where the reaction lives
See the patterns that are repeating themselves over and over again
Complete the sentence:
“One situation that triggers me is…, and I notice it when I am feeling…”
R – Rise with Resolve
Now give yourself a moment to consider all you have done in the first three steps. Clarity of purpose, your dream, and your awareness. Those are critical steps as we move into setting boundaries that protect us and our dream.
Start by bringing one boundary to mind, consider starting with your time boundary.
Feel your body and what is happening within it when you imagine choosing yourself.
Notice any fear, resistance or tension. Breathe into it with the phrase:
“I am valued, I am strong and I decide.”
Allow your personal resolve to rise within you from a place of calm certainty.
Complete the sentence:
“Even if it feels uncomfortable, I am willing to…”
T – Turn Power into Practice
Start your day with a short visualization where you see yourself moving through your day – waking up, working, interacting, pursuing your dream and resting.
Notice where you now pause instead of push
Notice where you choose differently by maintaining your focus and boundaries
Notice how you feel more grounded and energized
Close with your anchor statement:
“This is how I live life now!”
Change is constant and change is never easy. We must reprogram our brain to focus on what we truly want, to focus on manifesting our dream. There will be bumps in the road as work colleagues, who are stuck on their own hamster wheel, push back on the new you that is emerging.
Talk with your family and closest friends, share your dream and the actions that you are taking so that they can support you on your path.
Lastly, and most importantly, celebrate your successes, both big and small, every day with completing the sentence:
“Today I am proud of the me I am becoming for…”
Until next time,

Quote of The Week:
“Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”
— Mary Oliver

Have you ever noticed that voice that reverberates in your head the minute you consider a new experience or an action to make your dreams a reality? The one that seems to whisper “You’re not ready” or shouts “What if you fail?”
That is the Tiger that I refer to and the idea of creating the metaphor for the Tiger came from Jim Lawless in his book, Taming Tigers.
It’s fear and self-doubt dressed up as protection, convincing us to stay safe instead of stepping forward and growing. The Tiger is loud, convincing and relentless, but here’s the truth: it only has the power we give it.
Every time you step forward in spite of that roar, you weaken its grip and strengthen your own. That is what Tiger Letters are all about, sharing knowledge, experience, fears and inner strength to make your dreams a reality.
So, the next time your Tiger ROARS, smile at it, step forward reclaiming your power and break through the fear barrier into your growth zone.
