Hey there, it’s Dennis.

In today’s issue:

  • Why most New Year’s resolutions fail within weeks

  • The cycle that keeps people stuck year after year

  • How to use reflection (not willpower) to create real change

  • A guided H.E.A.R.T. of the Tiger reflection for closing out 2025

  • Plus: PLAYWORKS 2026

High performers don’t burn out because they’re weak.
They burn out because they’re stuck in a cycle of pressure without recovery.

That’s why you don’t need more discipline, you need more play.

For 2026, we are using the PLAYWORKS approach to integrate movement, creativity, and embodied learning into personal and professional growth.

Because breakthroughs don’t happen under constant tension. They happen when your body and mind reconnect.

When you play, you:
• Reduce mental noise
• Access deeper focus
• Break old patterns
• Learn faster
• Strengthen confidence and clarity
• Reignite purpose

This isn’t fluff, it’s neuroscience.
Your best ideas, your boldest actions, and your clearest decisions come when you’re out of fight-or-flight and back in flow.

If you want 2026 to feel different, your approach has to be different.

🔥 PLAYWORKS 2026 is our full-day immersive experience designed to reset your mindset, activate your creativity, and end with a transformational fire walk.

Reserve your spot and experience the difference yourself.

The Season of Reflection

The end of December is rapidly approaching and with it the end of 2025. Many people are focused on the holiday season. I am in fact devoting time to preparing for Christmas and the time with my family.

In the blink of an eye, it will be January 1st, 2026, and many people will wake up realizing that another year has passed and that they are basically in the same spot they were 12 months earlier.

They will quickly decide on multiple lofty goals, promising themselves that this year will be different. This year they will attain their goals and all of the wonderful promise that goes along with them.

Most of them will fail.

The commitment will waver and erode mere weeks into the New Year. As February arrives, many will give themselves back to the daily grind and their goals, aspirations, and dreams will slip away, only to be recalled again the following January.

I was no different.

It is a shitty cycle to be stuck in. Much like a hamster running on a wheel. You work your ass off and end up going nowhere.

Health, travel, family time, education — these are all worthy aspirations. The problem isn’t the goals. It’s how we approach them.

Before looking forward, we must look backward.

And we’re going to do that using the H.E.A.R.T. of the Tiger model applied to self-reflection.

One key note before we dive in:
Find a mirror in your house and take a good long look.

Success or failure is wholly up to YOU.
No blame. No excuses. No bullshit.

❤️ H.E.A.R.T. of the Tiger Reflection

If you journal (and you should be journaling), write these questions down. This is an active process. Writing creates clarity.

Look back honestly at the full year. Don’t dwell too long on wins or failures. Seek your truth.

H — Honor Your Truth

  • What do I want to celebrate?

  • What challenged me?

  • What surprised me?

  • What did I avoid?

  • What defined my year emotionally, mentally, and physically?

E — Envision the Future

  • What is my dream?

  • How do I want to feel?

  • What areas of my life need to expand, heal, or elevate?

  • How will I play my dream into reality?

A — Activate Awareness

  • What did I learn about myself this year?

  • What patterns or beliefs helped or hindered me?

  • What emotions must I cultivate to attain my dream?

R — Rise with Resolve

  • What no longer serves me?

  • What values must I embody?

  • What mindset must I maintain?

  • This year, I choose to: __________

T — Turn Power into Practice

  • What are my three daily habits that move my dream forward?

The goals you set are not the destination. They are markers along the path.

Your daily habits are the stepping stones.

Make them non-negotiable. Put them on your calendar. Protect them.

And don’t wait until next December to reflect again. Do this monthly.

After all, the worst time to realize you took a wrong turn is 365 days later.

One dream I have for 2026?

To juggle fireballs.

To make that real, I must practice every day. And I’m starting now. Balls hitting the floor and all.

What’s one dream you want to make real in 2026?

Quote of The Week:

“We do not learn from experience. We learn from reflecting on experience.”
— John Dewey

Have you ever noticed that voice that reverberates in your head the minute you consider a new experience or an action to make your dreams a reality? The one that seems to whisper “You’re not ready” or shouts “What if you fail?”

That is the Tiger that I refer to and the idea of creating the metaphor for the Tiger came from Jim Lawless in his book, Taming Tigers.

It’s fear and self-doubt dressed up as protection, convincing us to stay safe instead of stepping forward and growing. The Tiger is loud, convincing and relentless, but here’s the truth: it only has the power we give it.

Every time you step forward in spite of that roar, you weaken its grip and strengthen your own. That is what Tiger Letters are all about, sharing knowledge, experience, fears and inner strength to make your dreams a reality.

So, the next time your Tiger ROARS, smile at it, step forward reclaiming your power and break through the fear barrier into your growth zone.

Before you go, here is ONE way you can work with me.
